Oh I love this! What a wonderful week you had! I’m so proud of you for reworking your book from scratch. You got tenacity girl 😘 and your persistence will pay off! Can’t wait to read Addie ♥️
ah, this title! I knew it would be a good one. You're on such an interesting journey right now, and it's really interesting reading how it plays out. This was such a fun way to do this too! Definitely brings me back to my diary days.
It's incredible what reading a really beautiful book will do for your writing isn't it? Also, Substack pieces when everyone else is asleep (or novel for that matter) are the best feeling.
Congrats on finishing reworking Chapter One!! 2,000 words in less than a week PLUS some of chapter two is truly incredible. You should be proud!
Thank you so much for all your kind words, Angela 🤎 I'm so glad you enjoyed this piece!
I agree, there's honestly nothing more motivating than reading a beautiful book as you write. It definitely made me want to continue working on my own book to make it better.
I don't think every week will be this fruitful with writing, but it's definitely been a great start!
i found this so relatable and you're convincing me to finally read addie la rue (which has been on my tbr forever)! 💘 i love reading about the realistic lives of writers.
I'm so glad you found it relatable, Sariya 🤎 I hope that you love Addie LaRue just as much as I did. It's now my favourite book of all time. So beautifully written, very human characters, and such an incredible story.
Loved reading this! It sounds like you had such a lovely week. Well done on making such great progress on rewriting your book too! My boyfriend is away this weekend and I'm already looking forward to the time to myself to write, similarly to you in the evenings! I hope you're enjoying your second week of holiday 🫶
Thank you so much, Soph 🤎 I hope that you have a wonderful weekend to yourself and get the chance to write heaps! It's always so lovely to have that time to yourself.
I really loved reading this 'week in my life' series, focused on writing & reading! It's a nice way to reflect and ground yourself in where you're at in that very moment. Thanks for sharing!
